A Rough Customer.

Before the Mayor (Mr W. Emden) and other Magistrates at the Dover Police Court on Monday George Truman labourer was charged with being drunk and committing a nuisance in Maison Dieu Place on Saturday evening. P.C. Harman in proving the case said the prisoner was abusive and threatened him

He was very rough. With the assistance of P.C. Blackman witness brought the prisoner to the station. Prisoner denied being rough. Inspector Lockwood informed the Bench that prisoner misbehaved himself in the cells.

Prisoner. ‘was only singing a hymn sir’.
